Three-day forum brings together miners, investors, financiers and policymakers under the theme “Investable, Sustainable, Essential,” with two pre-forum workshops, ten agenda sessions and a visit to Boliden’s Tara Mines

The 10th MINEX Europe Mining and Exploration Forum will take place from 27–30 October 2026 at the Knightsbrook Hotel in Trim, Ireland, marking the first time the forum has been hosted in Ireland since its founding in 2015. Previous editions have been held in Portugal, the Czech Republic, Poland, Albania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Serbia and Austria.
The Forum is organised by Advantix Ltd, with the sponsorship support from Boliden, Dalradian Resources, SLR Consulting and Bara Consulting. Key partners include Geological Survey Ireland, Geoscience Ireland, the Irish Association for Economic Geology, Eurometals, Euromines, and the Eurasia Critical Minerals Organisation, with additional support from the Irish Mining and Quarrying Society.
This year’s Forum arrives at what organisers describe as a moment of reckoning for European mining. The EU’s Critical Raw Materials Act promised faster permitting and ambitious 2030 targets for domestic mining, refining and recycling — yet progress remains uneven, and Europe’s most prominent lithium project, in Serbia, stalled amid public opposition. The Forum’s will examine whether legislation alone can rebuild an industry, or whether the deeper constraint is legitimacy: permitting reform, the real value of “strategic project” status under the CRMA, social licence, project finance, battery materials and gigafactory supply, low-impact mine design, and AI-driven supply chains.
Ireland features prominently on the agenda as both host and case study, with a dedicated session on the country’s geological potential and its place in Europe’s critical minerals strategy.
Pre-forum workshops, 27 October
Ahead of the main programme, Satarla will run two full-day CPD-accredited workshops: Integrated Risk Management in Mining, covering risk identification and decision-making across the mining lifecycle, and Sharing Your Mining Story, focused on stakeholder communication and avoiding greenwashing.
Forum sessions, 28–29 October
The main programme and industry exhibition run across two days, opening with “Beyond Legislation: Can Europe Rebuild Its Mining Industry?” and closing with “Mine to Market 4.0: The AI-Driven Supply Chain.” Confirmed speakers include representatives from the Geological Survey Ireland, Geoscience Ireland, Irish Association for Economic Geology, Research Ireland Centre for Applied Geosciences, Boliden, Dalradian Resources, UK Department for Business, Innovation, Science & Trade, the U.S. Geological Survey, the International Copper Study Group, the London Stock Exchange, KfW IPEX-Bank, SGS Geological Services and Hycamite TCD Technologies, Eurometals, Emerita Resources Corp, Hatch, SLR, ERM, SRK, Aurum Exploration, Minco Exploration, among others.
Site visit, 30 October
Participants will have the opportunity to visit Tara Mines, one of Europe’s largest zinc and lead operations, operated by Boliden, with guided underground and mill tours.
The 9th edition, held in Lisbon in October 2025, drew over 200 senior industry professionals, policymakers and investors from 30 countries.
